Weekly Watch Focus: National Day of Prayer

FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2011. Our founding fathers honored Christ and the Judeo-Christian traditions guided by the Bible. It is clear from history that it is the Spirit of God that ordained America to be a standard-bearer for His end-time purposes. Let us join our prayers with Christians across this nation as we repent and humble ourselves and pray for God’s mercy for the future of America. Pray for our leaders in all three branches of government and all those defending our freedoms. May there be a great awakening that will restore us to our Judeo-Christian foundations. May we remain a friend to Israel. May God be pleased to bless our future.

1 Tim. 2:1-2, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

Jer. 6:16a “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.”
