Watch Focus - The Stability of Your Times

“Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, the strength of salvation; the fear of the Lord is his treasure,” Isaiah 33:6.

We give thanks to the Lord for neutralizing the attacks by Iran’s terror regime against the nation and people of Israel. We pray for Amina Hassouna whose home was hit by shrapnel and who is in critical condition. The prayers of thousands of believers around the world were answered in what one physicist says is greater than the Passover miracle of splitting the Red Sea. Iran launched 300 projectiles, including 170 drones and over 120 ballistic missiles in an immense aerial attack overnight. But 99% of them were neutralized!

The following account was written by an Israeli scientist who works for the security system in Israel:

“I am a doctor of physics and I worked for several years in the defense industry in Israel, in projects that are still the cutting edge…The rescue that took place for the people of Israel on Shabbat night is simply impossible naturally. I took a pencil and dove into the calculations to check the likelihood that such a result would materialize. The large number of events that had to be handled at precisely the right time doubles the chance of making a mistake... With all the high technologies, the expectation was for a breach in the defense of the skies of the State of Israel. …the managers of the security industries who develop and manufacture these systems guarantee no more than 90% success! … everyone - the pilots, the system operators and the technology operators - acted as one man at one moment in total unity. If this is not an act of God, then I no longer know what a miracle is."

“And in that day you will say: ‘Praise the Lord, call upon His name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth,’” Isaiah 12:4-5.

We pray for the leaders in Israel, their allies and their enemies, to be governed by the fear of the Lord and guided by divine wisdom and knowledge as they consider response to this attack. We bind the powers of war. We loose the angels of God and pray that God shed protection and peace over the Middle East. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction,” Proverbs 1:7.

We pray leaders of Israel, US, allies and enemies, be granted a prudent heart and a wise ear: “To give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion—a wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,” Proverbs 1:4-5.

Perhaps the most well-known prayer after the Lord ’s Prayer is King Solomon’s prayer of humility for wisdom in order to rightly lead the people they govern: “Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king …but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. Your servant is in the midst of Your people…Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil…The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you,” 1 Kings 3:7-12.

We pray, “Lord give us leaders such that it will be to your glory to give us the victory through them.”

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever,” 1 Chronicles 16:34.

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land,” Psalm 95:1-5.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear,” Hebrews 12:28.

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, And gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south,” Psalm 107:1-3.

“Wisdom calls aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city she speaks her words: ‘How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you,’” Proverbs 1:20.

“Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you,  that you may fear the Lord your God, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey,’” Deuteronomy 6:1-3.

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,” Deuteronomy 10:12.
