Weekly Watch Focus: Purim—Deliverance of God's People

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2018—The Bible marks this time of the year as the Feast of Purim (March 1, 2018), a memorial to the great deliverance which God wrought for His people in the time of Esther (Esther 9).  For us as believers who love Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, this Purim is truly special because it comes in the season where even the President of the United States officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel to the consternation of all the enemies of the Jewish people.

The spirit of Haman is alive today threatening Jews and also Christians.  Just this past week, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held up an Iranian drone shot down over Israeli territory and declared Israel, “would not allow Iran's regime to put a noose of terror around our neck." Once again we bind the spirit of Haman, which is antichrist spirit, and declare that the Lord God of Israel will make all the nations honor His promises for Israel. Bless Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Rejoice in the mighty God who is more than able to deliver and protect His people.  Pray for individuals and families who need a great deliverance and supernatural healing.

For the Jewish people, Purim is also a specific time set aside for extra laughter and joy, rejoicing in the defeat of the enemies of the God of Israel. May we experience a fresh infilling of the Spirit who fills our mouths with laughter and our tongues with joyful singing (Psalm 126:1-2).

Part 2: Remembering Billy Graham

On February 21, Billy Graham left this natural world into eternal glory with Jesus. We thank the Lord for His life and ministry. Millions across the world have come to faith in Jesus Christ through his crusades, his books, and his media ministry. He impacted presidents and world leaders. He was a true champion of the gospel of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to the Lord for Billy Graham, and pray for a fresh wave of evangelism and awakening to the gospel as this precious servant has gone on to glory.

At his final crusade in June 2005, Graham said, “I have one message: that Jesus Christ came, he died on a cross, he rose again, and he asked us to repent of our sins and receive him by faith as Lord and Savior, and if we do, we have forgiveness of all of our sins.”

Please join us at the Watch this Friday, February 23rd, for a special service to honor Evangelist Billy Graham at 7:30 PM at All Nations Church or watch online at chavdaministries.org/live.
