Weekly Watch Focus: Honor our Veterans
Friday, November 9, 2018—On this Veteran’s Day, give thanks for all our veterans whose brave service has maintained our freedoms. Release God’s blessing and lift up prayers for all the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Pray a special blessing on the families of our service men and women. May the angelic hosts of heaven continue to protect all those wearing the uniform of our armed forces. May America always honor and care for our veterans who have served to help keep us free and at peace today.
Part 2: Pray for Thousand Oaks, CA
We join our hearts and prayers with all the families who are suffering in the wake of the shooting at a local bar in Thousand Oaks, CA that left twelve dead and many wounded. Lift up the families who are enduring gravest heartache at the loss of their loved ones. Especially pray for the family of Sgt. Ron Helus, a veteran officer who was killed as he responded to the shooting. May God who is “a very present help in trouble” be close to all those who mourn, come to the aid of the injured, and overshadow those whose loved ones were killed (Psalm 46:1). We pray for the Lord to bring wisdom and insight on behalf of law enforcement. Bind back the spirit of violence and murder and plead the blood of Jesus to bring healing, protection, and restoration for America.

Psalm 91:5-6, “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”
