Weekly Watch Focus: Pentecost 2019—Welcome, Holy Spirit!

FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2019—In the midst of some of the worst persecution of Christians around the word, we ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit as never before. Isaiah 59:19 says, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” May the Spirit of the Lord raise up a standard in a mighty outpouring of power for salvation, miracles, signs, wonders, and glory.

In that context we cry, “Come, Holy Spirit!” With humble hearts we raise our eyes to the Lord, filled with hope and faith on the basis of His promise: “I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy…It shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (See Acts 2:17-21, Joel 2:28-29). Even as the early disciples gathered together and asked for the Promise of the Father, we lift our voices together in one accord for the outpouring of the Lord’s wonderful Holy Spirit. We welcome You Holy Spirit to visit America and the nations so that we may be transformed, cleansed, refreshed, and revived. We pray send fresh fire on us, our families, our church, our city, and our nation. We humbly make supplications to the Lord, “Give us a transformative national awakening.” May we steward this outpouring to bring in a great end-time harvest of souls to bring glory to the Risen Christ.

Acts 2:1-4, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Acts 2:17-18, 38-39, “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.’ Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.’”

Acts 10:44-46, “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.”
Zechariah 10:1, “Ask rain from the LORD in the season of the spring rain, from the LORD who makes the storm clouds, and He will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.”

Exodus 19:16,19, “On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled. Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God…The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.”
