Weekly Watch Focus: Mass Shootings in El Paso and Dayton

Friday, August 9, 2019—We join our hearts and prayers with all those whose families are suffering in the wake of the mass shootings in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH. May God who is “a very present help in trouble” be close to all those who mourn, come to the aid of the injured, and overshadow those whose loved ones were killed in this horrendous act of madness. Thank the Lord for the many first responders and police who acted quickly to intervene and save lives. Bless the many heroic bystanders who were able to help people escape. Pray for continued wisdom and guidance for society and our laws to better care for those suffering from severe mental illness. Ask for supernatural, angelic protection for our children and loved ones as they go about their regular lives. Bind back fear and trauma, violence and murder and pray for healing and restoration for America.
