Weekly Watch Focus: Hurricane Dorian—Protection and Recovery

FRIDAY, September 6, 2019—On Sunday, Dorian made landfall on the Bahamas as a Category V hurricane. At least twenty people lost their lives, and large portions of Abaco and Grand Bahama Islands were devastated by the powerful storm which destroyed sixty percent of homes and left thousands homeless. Hurricane Dorian has been downgraded to a Category III storm, but continues to threaten the East Coast. Pray a shield of protection for South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia as Dorian continues to pummel the coast. Pray for the Bahamas and all the families grieving for the loss of their loved ones. Pray for all those whose homes and businesses have been destroyed. Pray for the first responders, relief operation, and recovery efforts. Bind further destruction and loss of life from this storm.

Psalm 60:1b ,2, "Oh, restore us again! You have made the earth tremble; You have broken it; heal its breaches, for it is shaking."

Psalm 46:1-3, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.”

Part 2: 21-Day Corporate Fast: Welcome Revival

As we conclude our 21-Day Corporate fast, cry out for personal revival and refreshing, and a national Great Awakening. Ask for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this nation such as we have never experienced before. We recall the revivals with Whitefield, Finney, the Welsh revival, and Azusa Street and cry out, “Do it again, Lord!” May we have an open heaven lasting decades. Pray for a great harvest and increase in the Church. May all our family members come to salvation, and may captives be set free as God confirms His word with awesome signs and wonders.

We also stand with every family who is praying for a special healing miracle and breakthrough. We press in for the seven-fold blessing of the blood of Jesus. Let’s especially speak release from the bondage of cancer, addictions, and mental illness. We declare the yoke of cancer be lifted and broken by the Blood of the Lamb. Worship the mighty Savior, proclaiming “By His stripes, we are healed!” Release this word of blessing through the power of the blood over all those you know who specifically need healing from cancer, addiction, or any other infirmity or sickness. We corporately touch the hem of His garment on behalf of loved ones, neighbors, and all who are battling these attacks. Specifically, ask God to send a fresh wave of healing over His believing people, giving thanks for each of these healings.

Joel 2:28-29, “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.  And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

Psalm 90:16, “Let us see your miracles again; let our children see your glory at work.”

Isaiah 64:1-2, “Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence— As fire burns brushwood, as fire causes water to boil—to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!”

Exodus 33:15-16, “Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” 

Isaiah 53:5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” 

Exodus 23:25-26, “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from your midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”

Exodus 15:26, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

Psalm 105: 37, “He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes.”
