Weekly Watch Focus: Yom Kippur
FRIDAY, October 4, 2019—We are in the period of the 10 Days of Awe in preparation of the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27-28). Let us turn our hearts in repentance towards God so that we may experience once again His mercy and times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19). We come on the basis of the atoning work of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, on Calvary. We also pray for Israel and all our Jewish friends across the world, that they may experience also the blessing of God. Let us also pray for God's divine wisdom in forming a unity government that will preserve the integrity of the land and uphold Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel.

Leviticus 23:1, 27-28, "The Lord said to Moses, ‘Speak to the Israelites and say to them: “These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies? The tenth day of this seventh month is The Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present an offering made to the Lord by fire. Do no work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God.”'”
Leviticus 17:11, "For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life."
Hebrews 9:12, "Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption."
Revelation 5:12, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

For days now our intercession is interwoven in a sound of SINGING! When King David returned the ark to its place, they sang as they brought it home on their shoulders! |
