Weekly Watch Focus: Pray for our Armed Forces and Law Enforcement

FRIDAY, December 13, 2019—We are in a season where our thoughts turn to Christmas and being with our family. Let us remember in prayer members of our armed forces serving far from home at posts spread across the world. May the Lord strengthen and comfort these families, and may the God of Angel Armies protect these men and women wherever they are serving. Honor those who gave their all. Pray for those recovering from injuries and traumas. May the Holy Spirit encourage each of them and may they know that they have a place of honor in our hearts.

We also honor and pray for extra covering for our police and all law enforcement. These men and women serve us and our communities on a daily basis to keep us safe. Pray for supernatural angelic, wisdom and guidance. Pray for restoration of honor for those who serve. Put a hedge of protection around our nation at this season, binding back any terror attacks before they can harm those whose duty it is to keep us safe.

Part II Jersey City Attack

Please pray for the grieving families who lost precious loved ones in the anti-Semitic attack on a Kosher market in Jersey City this week. Pray comfort for the family of Detective Joe Seals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and for quick healing for the police officers who are recovering from gunshot wounds after confronting the shooters. As Watchmen, we stand on the walls of our nation and pray for God’s peace and supernatural shalom to reign over the cities in our entire nation. Bind the spirits of violence, anti-Semitism, division, terror, and hate that are spurring on these attacks. Pray for your city and welcome Holy Angels of God to guard every neighborhood. Pray for a shield around churches and synagogues in your city. Welcome the Holy Spirit to your city and pray for awakening to bring city-wide revival and transformation.

This Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that would allow the Education Department to take action against anti-Semitism on college campuses. Pray for a special protection for President Trump and his family as he stands against anti-Semitism in our nation.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”

For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”
