Weekly Watch Focus: Glory to God, Christ is Born in Bethlehem

FRIDAY, December 20, 2019—This Christmas we celebrate Jesus shedding light of His love to all. Pray the Glory of God shines bright, releasing hope, healing, and restoration over us, our nation, and our world. This coming year we pray, “Holy Spirit overshadow us as you did Mary on the day of visitation. Let your fragrance of Glory permeate our family and churches. Send angels to minister to our men and women in uniform in the field and at home.” We join the angel chorus singing, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men with whom God is pleased!”

Isaiah 9:2, "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined."

Matthew 2:1-2, 11, "Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, 'Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.'  And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh."

Micah 5:2, "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.”

Zephaniah 3:17, “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Part 2: Special Prayer Request from the President

At critical times in our national history, American presidents have called the nation to prayer. This week, President Trump asked the nation to pray as a severely divided congressional leadership in the House of Representatives has voted for impeachment. The constitutional implication upon future generations is incalculable. As you join us in prayer, bind the satanic forces of accusation, deception, corruption, and division. Pray for supernatural wisdom, projection, joy, and victory for the President and his family. Pray the presence and power of the Holy Spirit would visit members of congress, especially in the Senate, and intervene according to God’s good pleasure.

Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”

Psalm 20:1-5, 7-9, “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion; may He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah May He grant you according to your heart’s desire… and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions… Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright. Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call.”

1 Timothy 2:1-4, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Psalm 91:4, 11, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Psalm 27:2-5, “When the wicked came against me . . . they stumbled and fell . . . One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”

Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-5, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”

Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
