Shalom Over Our Cities

Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

May God’s supernatural shalom reign over our cities, especially where demonstrations following the death of Dante Wright have escalated into violent riots. We pray for peace and calm to return to Minnesota. We pray for comfort for the families of those wounded or killed in Indianapolis. Corporately as the church, we bind the spirit of violence from committing atrocities in our nation and plead the blood of Jesus as a covering for us.

Jeremiah 29:7, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

We bind the agitators and all demonic forces using deaths and national grief to create havoc and racial division in our society. We take authority over the plans of the enemy to sow division, violence, and destruction.

Matthew 18:18-20, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

We loose God’s warring angel armies over our nation and the nations! We pray, Lord God, calm this great storm. May the righteousness and justice of the Lord go out and bind up ancient divisions of pain, bigotry, and injustice-be healed, America! We humble ourselves and cry out according to God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “Lord, heal our land!”

Let what the enemy meant for harm become a great turnaround! Restore! We lift up the name of Jesus over every city and people across the globe and declare the glory of the Lamb of God. Every knee bows and every tongue confesses, JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.

1 Timothy 2:1-4, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

We place a prayer shield over all law enforcement. Lord, release Your invisible armed forces, Your awesome angelic cohorts, to protect our police and other first responders along with their families from violence and contagion. We thank You for the divine assistance that scriptures promise us and welcome Your angelic help in this hour.

Psalm 34:7, “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.”

Psalm 91:11-12, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
